Gian Chand Rayta is a retired officer from the H.P. Finance & Accounts Services, culminating his distinguished career in March 2012 when he retired from the position of Comptroller at the University of Horticulture & Forestry Nauni, Solan. Throughout his career, Mr. Rayta held prominent financial positions across various departments in Himachal Pradesh, including Finance Officer at Himachal Pradesh University (H.P.U), Financial Advisor at Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), and Controller Finance in several departments such as SSA, Pollution Control Board, Himurja, and the Excise & Taxation Department. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), holding an MBA in Finance.

In addition to his extensive professional background, Mr. Rayta is a DTS certified trainer, and he served as a regular faculty member at the Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA). He has also been a visiting faculty member specializing in Corporate Governance for organizations such as GAIL India, SJVN Ltd., and the National Academy of Audit & Accounts.

Post-superannuation, Mr. Rayta continued to contribute his expertise to the public sector as an Advisor with the Himachal Pradesh Public Employment Relations Commission (HP PERC) and as a Consultant in Procurement for projects supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Project. His career is marked by a dedication to finance and accounts services, extensive training experience, and a profound impact on corporate governance in various public and private sector entities.
