Health & Wellness Seminars

At Ketawa, we are dedicated to generating awareness and disseminating crucial health information on a wide range of issues. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities to lead healthier lives by addressing both non-communicable and communicable diseases. Through engaging presentations, interactive and informative lectures, we collaborate with educational institutions, corporate offices, and health institutions to educate and inspire positive change.

Our Focus Areas:

1. Mental Health: By addressing mental health topics, we aim to emphasize the importance of psychological well-being as an integral part of overall health. We strive to create a supportive environment that encourages open dialogue and understanding, ultimately fostering a society that prioritizes mental health and supports those in need.

  • Stress Management: Educating individuals on recognizing and managing stress to promote mental well-being and prevent associated health issues.
  • Personal Management: Providing tools and techniques for enhancing personal resilience, self-care, and work-life balance to foster overall mental wellness.
  • Anxiety: Creating awareness about anxiety disorders, their symptoms, and available support systems to encourage early intervention and treatment.
  • Other Mental Health Issues: Shedding light on various mental health concerns such as depression, sleep disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), while promoting understanding, de-stigmatization, and access to appropriate resources and treatment.

2. Adolescent health: We understand that adolescence is a critical phase of life, where young individuals experience significant physical, emotional, and social changes. Our sessions are specifically designed to address the important health issues faced by adolescents, empowering them to make informed decisions and cultivate a healthy lifestyle. One prominent concern is mental health, as many adolescents experience stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s vital to promote awareness of mental health challenges and provide strategies for coping and seeking support. Additionally, discussing reproductive health is essential, covering topics like puberty, safe sexual practices, and contraception. Educating adolescents about the risks of substance abuse, including tobacco, alcohol, and drugs, is also crucial. Other significant areas of focus should include healthy eating habits, physical activity, body image, and the prevention of bullying and violence. By addressing these adolescent health issues, we can empower young individuals to make informed decisions, lead healthier lives, and build a foundation for lifelong well-being.

3. Non-Communicable Diseases:

  • Hypertension: Educating individuals about hypertension, its risk factors, and the importance of managing blood pressure for cardiovascular health.
  • Diabetes: Creating awareness about diabetes, its prevention, and management through a balanced lifestyle, diet, and regular monitoring.
  • Obesity: Highlighting the adverse effects of obesity on overall health and encouraging healthy eating habits and physical activity for weight management.

4. Lifestyle related health concerns

  • Tobacco Use, Prevention and Quitting: Understanding the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and promoting tobacco cessation for improved respiratory health.
  • Substance Abuse: Raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and providing support for addiction prevention and recovery.
  • Alcohol Use: Our educational programs provide information about the potential risks and consequences of excessive alcohol consumption. We focus on raising awareness about responsible drinking habits, the importance of moderation, and the availability of support services for individuals struggling with alcohol-related issues.

By fostering responsible attitudes towards tobacco and alcohol, we aim to promote healthier choices and reduce the negative impact of excessive alcohol and tobacco use on individuals and communities.

5.  Nutrition:

  • Healthy Diet: Promoting the significance of a balanced diet rich in nutrients and vitamins for overall well-being and disease prevention.
  • Harmful Effects of Transfats Consumption: Educating individuals about the health risks associated with trans fats consumption and advocating for healthier alternatives.
